Some of the most beautiful garments ever made have been lingerie. The delicate fabrics and details combine with technical pattern making to create pieces that can offer comfort and luxury that often isn’t achieved by many other garments in your wardrobe
This course has been created due to special requests from the Australian Lingerie community. As Ariane’s background is lingerie design, having worked in the industry for over 16 years they have approached and requested for this class to be created
During the class, you will be taken step by step through how to make your very own bralette
You will be shown tips and tricks for applying lace to the neckline, learn how to make bra straps and how to work with elastic and applying it to underband (diaphragm)
Ariane is excited to bring this course to you and is already overflowing with ideas for how we make each one unique, just like you

Pre-Class Requirements:
- Completed the Introductory to Sewing Machine class using either your own machine or one of Ariane's
or
- Discussed with Ariane that you have suitable recent experience with a machine to be able to enjoy this class.
What to bring with you:
A notebook
Fabric: Please bring with you 0.5m of cotton stretch fabric. If you ask for jersey in your local fabric shop. 1meter of underband elastic, 2 rings and 2 sliders (remove them from an old bra if you don’t know where to buy these), 1meter of stretch lace trim that is approximately 2.5cm wide, 1 meter of fold over elastic
PLEASE NOTE: If you find trouble with collecting these items Ariane will have packs available for an additional $25 on the day
If you are using your own sewing machine please bring it. You will also need the machine pedal, threads and machine specific needles
If you do not have your own Sewing Machinee - you are welcome to use one of Ariane's - the number of these is limited, so please advise at the time of booking if you will need one so that the class numbers can be arranged correctly - thank you. If you need to use one of these machines please ensure that your fabric needs BLACK threads, as this is what the machines will be set up to use

You will be added to the special secret Sparkle Gang Stitch Facebook group - a place where Ariane will be sharing tips and tricks for sewing and secret ideas for how to improve your sewing. Class attendees will be encouraged to share pictures of their makes and share knowledge and ideas. It’s a community were growing for the Sewing Revolution! This is the place to have access to Ariane's technical knowledge.
Who can attend?
The classes are operated in a respectful manner and no preferences will be taken over the gender of attendees - everyone is encouraged to take part!
Anyone over the age of 18 due to the use of sewing machines
Class Length:
7 hours x 1 sessions = 7 hours
or
3.5 hours x 2 sessions = 7 hours

Saturday 25th May - 10.30am to 6pm (includes 30 min lunch break)
Tuesday 11th June - 9am to 12.30pm
Thursday 18th July - 6pm to 9.30pm
Saturday 29th June - 10.30am to 6pm (includes 30 min lunch break)

Classes will be held at Ariane's s- 18 Dawson Street, Brunswick.
Refund and Cancellation Policy:
No Refund applicable, if the class is run again you will be welcome to attend so long as you gave over 48 hours cancellation notice. Not transferable to another person. To run, this class needs a minimum of 4 attendees booked in, if this is not the case 48 hours before the class begins Ariane may be in touch to re-schedule to another date
A final note:
The patterns used and kept as part of this course are authorised to be used at home for domestic use. They are not authorised to be used for commercial garment production. If this is an area you would like help with, please advise Ariane – she will quote accordingly
